Tetrahedral Birdie Backpack Pals

$12.00 each which includes shipping and handling

I love making these crazy crochet birds!  Each one has its very own personality that makes me chuckle as they come into shape.  Each has a loop in the top knot so that they can be attached to a backpack or hung from where ever you like, or set them in a potted plant, or just stick one somewhere on your desk to give you a chuckle when you see it.  An interesting mathematical point about these birds (which is quite clever I must say ), they are made from a square that is twisted into a tetrahedron (a solid with four faces: a three-dimensional geometric figure formed of four faces, in this case triangles)!

Materials: The eyes are glued on googly eyes, the birds are made of worsted weight acrylic yarns, stuffed with 100% pure polyester fiber.
Size: Their sides become 4 equilateral triangles put together, so each side is the same size ie: 3X3X3 or 4X4X4 etc.

The original design is by Tanja Osswald, I used her basic shape as a jumping off point.  To get her original free pattern go to Ravelry.com and search under patterns for Tanja Osswald.
